So its very clear that the types of foods we are consuming are a problem, not the specific amount of animal or plant foods.
The study on the Okinawan is not representative of their diet throughout their lives. the studie was done just a couple of years after the second world war ended. before which they had a massive population of pigs but due to the war it was decimated. so they where forced to a lower animal produce diet because of the war.
Currently the most long lived population is hong kong.
