Draco found her crying in the dark corner of the Hogwarts corridor. He slowly approached her and put a hand on her shoulder. She looked up at him, and a surprised expression stood on her face.

`Malfoy?` Hermione raised her eyebrows.

`Are you okay?` he asked anxiously.

Hermione sniffed and didn't answer. Draco sat next to her and wiped the tears from her face.

`Don't cry,` he said softly. `Better tell me what happened to you? Did someone offend you?`

After Hermione's tale, Draco clenched his fists with all his strength and restrained himself so as not to go to Potter with the Weasley and beat them. They - albeit by chance - very much offended Hermione.

She herself felt better when she spoke to Draco. My heart warmed, although they were still sitting on the cold floor of the corridor.

He suddenly hugged her and persistently, but very gently kissed her on the lips.

`Draco, why did you do this?`

They sat in Slytherin’s drawing room, hugging and wrapping themselves in a plaid. There was no one in the living room except them, which greatly pleased them.

`You see, Hermione …` Draco looked straight into her eyes thoughtfully. `You, of course, may not believe in it, but all this time I loved you, but pride and stereotypes made me hide my feelings away from everyone, from you, and from myself too.`

`Then know, Draco,` Hermione came close to him and suddenly smiled, `that I also love you very much.`

They stood together in the square, and the wind fanned her summer dress. The war ended only a few days ago, but it could not interfere with the plans of the two lovers.

`Hermione, will you marry me?` Draco handed her a golden wedding ring shining in the bright sun.

`Oh! Draco ...” she took the ring from his hands and pressed it to her chest. `How can you even refuse?`

And they joined in a long, passionate kiss
